An employee briefing that actually lands – a playbook for HR

The most underrated step of introducing group health insurance is the employee briefing. Experience is unambiguous: a well-launched programme sees several times the utilisation of one introduced silently – and utilisation decides whether the benefit becomes appreciation or just a line on the payslip.

Preparation: 3 things you should not start without

The arc of the briefing (30-40 minutes)

1. Why? (5 min) – about the intent, not the insurance: „we do not want you waiting months for a scan". 2. What do you get? (10 min) – the contents of their own tier, with concrete examples. 3. How to use it? (10 min) – a live demo: call the care coordinator, walk through a booking. 4. Questions (10-15 min).

The three questions that always come up

Follow-up: where most programmes bleed out

Send a short reminder 2-4 weeks after the briefing, and share a usage example quarterly. For new joiners, make the one-page summary part of onboarding. And if we introduce the programme: we hold the live or online briefing and produce the summaries – leaving HR with no real extra burden. More about the process on the How it works page.
