How to compare 9 insurers’ offers: our method

Nine insurers, nine differently structured offers, hundreds of pages of conditions. Raw material like that is unfit for a decision – so we translate everything into a single table. Here is how.

Step 1: a common denominator

Offers package the same things under different names. First we decompose every offer into an identical structure: outpatient contents, diagnostics, screening, dental, inpatient, extras – so „Package X" and „Programme Y" become genuinely comparable.

Step 2: the decisive rows

Step 3: strengths and weaknesses, unvarnished

At the bottom of each column we add what the numbers do not show: where that insurer is strong or weak in our experience – claims practice, service quality, network reality. We deliberately publish no public ranking: your interest is served by a comparison tailored to your company, not a generic list.

Why not just pick the cheapest?

Because a premium gap almost always hides a content gap: a narrower network, longer waiting periods, lower limits. The table exists precisely to make that visible – and when the cheapest is also the best (it happens!), it shows that too. For the vocabulary, see the fine-print dictionary.
